BEEBE — Sentencing has been delayed for a Beebe woman who pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $350,000 from a local bank.
Patricia Hill was due in federal court Thursday, but U.S. District Judge Kristine Baker accepted a defense motion and delayed sentencing until Nov. 15.
According to The Daily Citizen, Hill is a former bank officer at the Beebe branch of First Security Bank of Searcy. In June, she pleaded guilty to theft by a bank officer.
According to court records, Hill admitted that she manipulated customer accounts to increase the amounts owed on those customers' loans, then withdrew the funds. Court records say Hill admitted to withdrawing more than $358,000 between November 2007 and April 2010.
She faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
