A Little Rock man was robbed Saturday night of his car after giving two men a ride in it.
An officer driving to a call was flagged down 11:29 p.m. Saturday at Roosevelt Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard by a man who told them he'd been beaten and robbed, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.
Christian Robinson, 22, told officers that he was giving two men a ride from the State Fairgrounds when the men got out of his Nissan Altima at the alley on 26th Street between Wolfe and Marshall streets, the report states. While Robinson was turning the car around in the alley, the men approached him again, punched him in the face and took the car keys from his pocket, police said.
Robinson fled northeast to Roosevelt Road and MLK, where he found officers, police said. After they heard Robinson's story, they checked the alley and confirmed the car was missing.
The robbers are described as black men, both about 19 or 20 years old. One had a light complexion, stood about 5 foot 4, weighed about 140 pounds, and wore a red T-shirt and a red baseball cap; the other, who had a medium complexion, was about 5 foot 7 and 175 pounds, and wore a white T-shirt and a black doo rag, the report states.
No arrests have been made.
