National Dutch Oven Gathering

Artist Studio Tour
ARKADELPHIA — The seventh annual Round About Artist Studio Tour will continue from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 20 in Arkadelphia. Art on display will include paintings, photography, woodcarvings, fiber art, jewelry, fused glass, stained glass, temari, sculpture and more. There will be art available for purchase. The self-driving tour is free and open to the public. Auditions for Footloose
BENTON — Auditions for the Young Players’ Second Stage production of Footloose will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 20 and 21. Anyone age 13 to 23 is welcome to audition. All interested in auditioning need to prepare 32 bars (a verse and a chorus) of a song of their choosing, in a style appropriate to Footloose. Production dates will be Jan. 16-19. Also needed are young people interested in learning areas of technical theater, such as directing, costuming, lighting, props, set building and publicity. BENTON — A stage production of Frankenstein 1930, the horror classic, will be presented at 2 p.m. today and Oct. 27, and at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Oct. 31, at the Royal Theater, 111 S. Market St. The play mirrors the venerable 1931 movie. The show was adapted for the stage by Fred Carmichael from Mary Shelley’s story of a monster brought to life by the megalomaniac Dr. Frankenstein. Tickets for the show are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students.
