2 out-of-state motorcyclists die in crashes

Motorcyclists from Missouri and Iowa died Friday and Saturday in crashes on state roads, according to preliminary Arkansas State Police crash reports.

Charles Warrick, 65, of El Dorado Springs, Mo., was driving north about 12:40 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 71 South near Potter in Polk County when he lost control of his Honda motorcycle, state police said.

He veered into the opposite lane, and the motorcycle flipped on its side, state police said.

Warrick fell from the motorcycle and skidded on the road, state police said. He was taken to Mena Regional Health System where he later died, state police said.

Nicole Matz, 30, of St. Joe was driving a Cadillac off South Mountain Road in Searcy County and across U.S. 65 South, just south of Marshall about noon Sunday, state police said.

Ryan Gendreau, 35, of Sabula, Iowa, was headed north on the highway as Matz began merging across the road, state police said.

The Cadillac and Gendreau’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided in the northbound lane, state police said.

Gendreau was killed and Matz was uninjured, state police said.
