Jacksonville police went to the 1113 Lehman Drive home of Michael Howard about 9:43 p.m., and found Howard and Willie Hadley, both shot at least once.

Hadley, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene, becoming Jacksonville’s third homicide this year.

Capt. Kenny Boyd, spokesman for the Jacksonville Police Department, said it was too early to speak about the circumstances surrounding the shootings, but he said Hadley and Howard knew their attackers.

According to police, there were two assailants involved in the shooting.

The only available description of the suspects was that they were both black men; one wore a red hoodie sweatshirt and hat, and the other wore a gray hoodie sweatshirt.

The pair fled on foot after the shooting.
