Three arrested in Bryant after guns, stolen items found

Three men were arrested early Thursday morning in Bryant after authorities found them in possession of weapons and several stolen items.

Around 2:45 a.m., a patrolling officer saw a vehicle turn onto Katrina Drive from Arkansas 183, then turn its lights off as it continued down the road, according to a news release from the Bryant Police Department.

The officer turned around and began searching for the vehicle, police said. During the investigation, the officer observed a Nissan Maxima parked in a driveway with its alarm sounding. The officer then noticed three sets of footprints in the dew that appeared to lead from the car to the back of the house, and he called for additional officers to search for potential suspects, the release states. Two men were located and captured following a brief foot chase, and the third was caught a short time later, police said. Two of the men were found to be in possession of a gun, according to the release.

Police said an investigation of the Nissan revealed guns and other merchandise that had been reported stolen from other vehicles.

Mark Franklin, Mardarius Love and Coreyonte Milton were all arrested and charged with breaking and entering, theft of property and fleeing, the release states. Milton was also charged with possession of a firearm by certain persons.
