Authorities are looking for a robber who held up two students early Thursday near Arkansas Baptist College.
A 22-year-old student at the school told police he was held up about 2:10 a.m. after he got out of his car at a dorm on 19th Street.
According to a Little Rock Police Department report, two men ran up to him and then one of them pulled out a gun and demanded his laptop and cell phone. The gunman reportedly pulled the trigger "a couple of times," but the gun didn't go off.
The two men ran east from the area after getting the victim's possessions.
Police then received a report from an 18-year-old student who said he was robbed around the same time by a gunman as he was walking in the 1800 block of South Marshall Street.
That victim said a man exited a Mercury Marquis driven by a second man, displayed a gun, demanded the victim's possessions and then fled after getting a cellphone.
Police believe the same two men are likely responsible for both crimes. The gunman is described as a black or multiracial man about 21 to 28 years old who stood 5 foot 6 and weighed about 145 pounds. He was wearing a brown or tan hoodie, dark jeans and black shoes.
The other man is described as a black man who stood about 6 feet tall, weighed 180 pounds and wore a dark baseball cap, a black hoodie, dark jeans and black shoes.
