63 burglaries reported, nearly $98,000 taken in Little Rock in week

Little Rock police took reports of 63 burglaries in which nearly $98,000 in property and cash was taken as well as 20 separate robberies in a week's time.

The Little Rock Police Department investigated 52 residential burglaries and 11 commercial burglaries reported from Oct. 18 through Thursday, according to preliminary data released daily by the agency. There were 62 residential burglaries and eight commercial burglaries in the same span a week earlier.

Not all of the break-ins included information about how much property and cash was taken. But those that did totaled $97,840 worth of stolen items and money.

The highest concentration of burglaries was in the 72209 zip code, where 13 of the 63 were reported in the week. Eleven were reported in 72227, and 10 each were reported in 72204 and 72211.
