Springdale Har-Ber defensive end Jake Hall became the fifth in-state prospect to receive a scholarship offer from Arkansas when he and his family met with Coach Bret Bielema Wednesday night.

The offer became public when Wildcats’ Coach Chris Wood announced it on Twitter Thursday.

“They’re talking through everything,” Wood said. “I think it’s something they’re really excited about. Extremely excited. So I know they’re sitting down again tonight and talking as a family.”

Hall, 6-5, 230 pounds, impressed the Hogs coaching staff during the June Prospect Camp and was told they would monitor him the first few games of the season. Bielema attended the Har-Ber’s game at Bentonville on Sept. 27.

“He said there was a play against Bentonville that really stood out about him playing a certain technique,” Wood said. “They had broken free and Jake had tracked it down 40 yards and made the play. At that moment, he said that’s a kind of guy he wants. He said the offer is out there and he wants him to be a part of the family.”

In seven games, he has recorded 44 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a pass deflection, a forced fumble and a recovered fumble. Hall also has offers from Cincinnati and Louisiana-Monroe along with interest from several others.
