A Jonesboro man was killed early Friday morning in a Craighead County car wreck, according to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report.
The accident occurred about 12:09 a.m. in dry and clear conditions, the report states.
Authorities said Tom McAdams, 33, was traveling north in a 2014 Jeep vehicle on Arkansas 1 when he crossed the highway's centerline and hit a 2007 semitrailer head-on that was traveling in the opposite direction.
Harrisburg resident Vernon Houston, 60 , who was the semitrailer's driver, was taken St. Bernard's Medical Center to be treated for unspecified injuries, officials said.
McAdam's death marks the 355th fatality in traffic accidents on Arkansas roads this year, according to preliminary reports.
