How will you match/exceed your success from last year? Daniels said he’s looking to experience and depth as the keys to success this year. “We have experience and depth in every position this year,” he said, adding that he sees these attributes, combined with height, as being the team’s greatest strengths going into the season.

Team weakenesses: Inside game. As to potential weaknesses, Daniels said he currently is concentrating on shoring up the inside game. “That could turn into a weakness for us,” he said, “not having a sound inside game.”

Games to watch: “Games to watch would be Marmaduke, they were second in the state last year, and Buffalo Island,” Daniels said. He added that he expects tough games with both Rector and England. “Rector’s always tough.”

College prospects: Daniels said he anticipates Eshandria Gatts will attract the eyes of collegiate recruiters with her solid skill set and all-around talent on the court. “She’s got the skills,” Daniels said. “Her skills are good, she has good court awareness … she can play.”
