Grown-ups gather at Zoo to scare up some merriment

Zombies, superheroes and pirates walked among the animals at the Little Rock Zoo on Oct. 17 and trick-or-treated for wine and beer. These weren’t the pint-size mendicants that beg for sweets from your porch. This over-21 crowd looking for spirits was at the adult preview of Boo at the Zoo.

There was also a hayride,a haunted house, music by Big Stock, and a display of flesh-eating plants. Guests could have their fortunes read and roast marshmallows for s’mores, too.

Boo at the Zoo runs through Friday and money raised benefits zoo programs.
