How will you match/exceed/fall short of your success from last year?: “It will be very difficult to repeat last year due to losing four senior starters, but this team is young and athletic and, hopefully, will be playing its best basketball by January and February,” McNabb said.
Team strengths: McNabb said the team’s overall athleticism will be a benefit to the Devil Dogs.
Team weaknesses: After losing four of its key starters, McNabb said that inexperience will be a challenge to overcome. The team’s lack of size will also be an issue.
Games to watch: Huntsville
Toughest opponent: McNabb said Harrison will be tough because the team has many returning starters.
College prospects: Danielle Wright, Tori Jackson and Jayla Criswell
In a nutshell: The Lady Devil Dogs are a very athletic team and have good overall speed. “We have to create offense from our defense and continue to play great team defense in the half court,” McNabb said. “We have to execute offensively and understand what we do well on offense. We need to limit our turnovers and, hopefully, by January, our depth will allow us to play lots of players, keeping us fresh on both ends.”
