Beansie is our pet of the week. This 4-year-old black miniature poodle loves to snuggle in his favorite person’s lap. Beansie is friendly and gets along well with people of all ages and other animals. This sweet guy is potty-trained and familiar with a doggy door. He was treated for heartworms about four months ago and has been given an excellent prognosis.

Canine Close-Up Lola is a 3-year-old Labrador retriever/bull mastiff mix with a short, brown-and-black coat. Lola would make a very loyal and attentive companion. Some of her favorite activities are playing fetch, running around the yard and taking car rides. She likes to play with other dogs, but doesn’t do well with overly dominant females. Lola is potty-trained, crate-trained and spayed.

Scotty is a 6-month-old beagle-mix pup with tricolor markings. Despite starting his life with a terrible injury to his head and losing an eye, Scotty is still a very cute guy. This boy loves to play keep away with toys. He gets along well with other dogs, but cats aren’t too keen on his playing style. Once this pup is done playing, he crashes and sleeps like a baby.

Ringo is a 5-year-old, 100-pound shepherd mix with a short, brown coat. Don’t be fooled by his size; Ringo is a total sweetheart. He is very playful and still acts like a puppy at times.

Buster is a 6-month-old dachshund. He weighs about 7 pounds, so he will weigh less than 10 pounds after he is fully grown. He is very sweet and playful, potty-trained and uses a doggy door. This little guy is shy with new people, so he needs someone that can be patient while he warms up. Buster would benefit from a home with a dog of similar size, age and energy level to play with. Because he is fearful in new situations, Buster needs a home without children younger than 10.

Sophie is a 5-year-old bichon frise. An injury has left her with one eye, but she sees just fine. She will be spayed in a few weeks and after her surgery will be available for adoption. This sweet girl is shy in new situations, so she will require a quiet home with no small children. She is a great little lap dog. Sophie has been around other doggies all her life, so she really would like a home with another dog.

Ruffles is a 7-month-old miniature poodle. Before she was rescued, she had very little human interaction, so she is still learning to trust people. She is learning to play with toys and her fellow foster pups. She also is starting to warm up to people, but she is still shy with strangers. She will need a home that will be patient with her. Ruffles has a very kind, sweet nature and is a lovely girl. She has been spayed and is healthy.

Beansie and friends can be adopted through Helping Hands for Little Paws. More information is available at (501) 888-2702 and helpinglittlepaws.com.
