A driver from Hope died Sunday night after a collision with a truck toppled his vehicle, police said.
Arkansas State Police say 42-year-old Federico C. Flores was driving a 2005 Saturn east on Avenue F shortly before 8 p.m. in Hope when he attempted a left turn to head north on Hervey Street and was struck by a southbound 2010 Freightliner.
The Saturn overturned, and Flores was taken to Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope, where he later died.
The truck driver wasn't hurt.
The death was the 383rd fatality in a traffic accident in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
