A Kansas man died after being struck by car as he walked across a street early Sunday in Fort Smith, according to a preliminary report by Arkansas State Police.
Just before 1 a.m., Nathanael Dejarnett, 20, of Wellington, Kan., was hit by a car traveling south on North Greenwood Avenue, according to the report.
The 1992 Chevrolet had moved into the middle lane in the road to make a left turn when it hit Dejarnett, according to the report. The report did not list the driver.
