Arkansas lawmakers to discuss substance abuse

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas lawmakers are gathering at the Capitol to discuss efforts to prevent and treat substance abuse.

Two substance abuse related task forces are scheduled to meet Tuesday at the state Capitol. The Task Force on Substance Abuse Treatment Services was set to meet in the morning, and the Task Force on Substance Abuse Prevention planned to meet in the afternoon.

Both task forces were scheduled to elect a chairman, review their 2012 recommendations and determine goals to be included in their reports to the Legislature.
