Man arrested in robbery of Air Jordan shoes

A 19-year-old Little Rock man accused of punching a man and then grabbing his Air Jordan shoes off his feet has been arrested.

Devin Reyes was booked into the Pulaski County jail early Tuesday morning on charges of robbery and third-degree battery.

Reyes was identified by the victim as the man who took his shoes in the Oct. 4 robbery at 2000 Boulevard Avenue in Little Rock, according to a Little Rock Police Department incident report.

The 21-year-old victim said he had earlier lent Reyes a pair of shoes and on Oct. 4 asked for them back. Reyes left but then returned with several others, took off his shirt and "acted like he wanted to fight" and then punched the victim, the report said.

The victim fell to the ground and Reyes then grabbed his Air Jordan shoes off his feet, the report said.

Police say the victim reported two of the others with Reyes filmed the incident on their phones and the footage was later uploaded online.

It wasn't clear Tuesday whether police had made any other arrests in the case.

Reyes, who remained in the Pulaski County jail Tuesday with bail set at $16,500, is due in court Monday.
