Police Department spokesman officer Carmen Helton said the robber did not show a weapon nor did she say what was written on the note.

After getting the cash, the robber walked off in an unknown direction.

Helton said she did not know how many customers or employees were inside the bank at the time of the robbery.

The robber was described as a dark-skinned black man wearing gloves and a green sleeved racing jacket with Goodyear on the lapels.

Victim follows 3 bandits, faces fire

A band of bandits shot at a victim who tried to follow the three after they robbed him Monday, police said.

While shopping, Ledarius Wilson, 26, went to a gas station at 9101 W. Markham St. about 3:48 p.m. where he spoke in the parking lot with a recent acquaintance known to him only as “Caesar.”

Wilson told police he got into a car with “Caesar” and two other men and one of them pulled a handgun and demanded all his property, which according to police reports, was thousands of dollars in jewelry and $500 in cash.

Police said Wilson hopped out of the car and into his girlfriend’s car and told her to follow the three to get the car’s license-plate number.

After turning on to Cunningham Lake Road, the robbers’ vehicle stopped and one of the men stepped out and shot once at Wilson and his girlfriend.

The couple “ducked down” after the gunshot and the robbers fled.

Caesar is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall, in his late 20s and wore a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes.

The driver of the vehicle is only described only as black, and the third robber is black, in his late teens and his hair is in dreadlocks.

Ex-lovers accused in a bruising brawl

Police arrested a Little Rock couple Monday night after a fight involving bleach, boiling water and a piece of metal.

Officers went to 2207 Perry St. about 5:30 p.m. and found Adrian Phillips, 48, who claimed he had returned home and his ex-girlfriend “ambushed” him with a metal stick.

Phillips pointed out that she had moved out of their home three months before and she had no business being there.

Alfreda Simmons, 31, then “threw boiling water” on him, burning his left arm, he told police. Phillips told officers Simmons also grabbed a household cleaner that contained bleach and sprayed him with it.

According to Simmons, Phillips was the aggressor, and when he found she had let herself into the house, he poured boiling water on her, slammed her head in the wall and punched her.

She said she had used the metal stick and the household cleaner to keep Phillips at bay.

Because both were injured, Simmons and Phillips were arrested and each was charged with third-degree domestic battery.
