Bentonville man pleads guilty to raping two girls

A Bentonville man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after admitting to raping two girls.

Bradley Russell Davis pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of rape, a Class Y felony. His plea was under an agreement his attorney Shane Wilkinson reached with Bonnie Bridges, deputy prosecutor.

Davis, 36, was arrested Sept. 15, 2012.

According to a probable cause affidavit, woman reported to police that she was awakened by a 12-year-old girl's screams and found a naked Davis on top of the girl in the living room. The woman pulled Bradley off the girl and he claimed that he was attempting to calm her down because she was having a nightmare, the affidavit states.

The woman noticed that the girl's clothing was on the floor next to her, the affidavit states.

The girl was interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center, where she disclosed being sexually abused by Davis, according to court documents.

The girl also disclosed that Davis had sexually abused another girl, the affidavit. The 14-year-old girl was interviewed and she also disclosed that Davis had sexually abused her, according to court documents.

Circuit Judge Brad Karren accepted the plea agreement and Davis' guilty pleas.

Davis received 25 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction for each of the rape counts. Two sentences will be served concurrently. Davis will have to serve 70 percent of the sentence before he is eligible for parole.
