RUSSELLVILLE — The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center will present Introduction to QuickBooks from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Arkansas Tech University. The seminar will introduce this computer program to small-business owners and their employees who have little or no experience using account software. Golf Ball Drop
CONWAY — Independent Living Services will hold its eighth annual Golf Ball Drop from 5:30-7 p.m. at Centennial Valley Golf Course. Conway Men’s Chorus Rehearsals

HEBER SPRINGS — American Legion Post No. 64, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Sons of the Legion and the community of Heber Springs will hold a program at 11 a.m. Sept. 11 on the north lawn of the Cleburne County Courthouse to recognize patriots who died on 9/11. Patriots in all service organizations will also be recognized. The event will kick off the Field of Heroes, a program in which flags can be purchased to be flown on the courthouse lawn until Veterans Day, Nov. 11, for any patriot of any service. A ribbon will identify patriots being honored, their branch of the armed forces and whether they were killed in action. Model Airplane Club Meeting
HEBER SPRINGS — A model airplane club has formed for the Heber Springs area. The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Heber Springs Community Center, 20 Bobbie Jean Lane. Ozark Trail Festival
HEBER SPRINGS — The Ozark Trail Festival will be held Sept. 13-15 in downtown Heber Springs at the courthouse, 300 W. Main St. The festival will include a street dance, a bicycle fun ride, a 5K/10K, a parade, music in the park, a poker run, a barbecue cook-off, a costume contest, a car cruise, a blood drive and more.
