Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, Tenn., was the setting at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, for the marriage of Lindsey Marie Thompson and Joseph Aaron Dethrage. Kevin Foster officiated.
Parents of the bride are Susie and Reed Thompson, 13716 Edgemond Drive. Her grandparents are Wilma Graham of Little Rock, Frank Qualls of Hot Springs and the late Arda Joy and Jack Thompson of Water Valley, Miss.
Kathy Jo and David Allen Dethrage of Anniston, Ala., are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Donna and Joseph Hawkins of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and the late Gladys and Fred Dethrage of Anniston.
The studio, a converted church on Music Row, was decorated with white roses and white hydrangeas. The altar held ferns in antique white vases. Music was by harpist Frances Cobb of Little Rock. Greeting guests and attending the guest book were Elaine Qualls and Grayson Burns, both of Bryant and cousins of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown with a beaded V-neck bodice and A-line skirt. She carried a bouquet of white roses.
Lauren Thompson of Rogers served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Van Name of Morrisville, N.C., and Danielle Rosenthal Adkins of Toronto. They wore strapless cocktail dresses of navy blue charmeuse with ruched waistlines and carried bouquets of white roses and blue hydrangeas.
Flower girl and ring bearer were Addyson Burns of Bryant, cousin of the bride, and Lincoln Weaver of Nashville, respectively.
Benjamin Azevedo of Durham, N.C., was best man. Groomsmen were Stephen Dethrage of Tuscaloosa, brother of the groom, and Levi Weaver of Nashville. Guests were seated by Robert Thompson of Little Rock, brother of the bride, and Spencer Qualls of Bryant, cousin of the bride.
A reception at Studio A in Nashville followed the ceremony. Guest tables covered in white linens with navy and silver runners were centered with arrangements of blue and white hydrangeas and silver tea candles.
The bride is a presidential scholar and magna cum laude graduate from Belmont College, Nashville, with a bachelor’s degree in music cognition. She has a master’s degree in music, mind and brain from the University of London and was a United States Fulbright Postgraduate Scholar. She is a research analyst at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
The groom has a bachelor’s degree in commercial composition and production from Belmont and is a freelance audio engineer for Sirius XM and owner of Dethrage Arranging and Recording.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will live in Nashville.
