An early-morning shooting left one man in the hospital Tuesday in south Little Rock.
According to a report from the Little Rock Police Department, a passerby heard a cry for help from a man, later identified as Deon Andre Lindsey, 41, along the roadside at 1800 W. 65th St. The passerby turned his car around to help Lindsey, who had suffered gunshot wounds in his head, right shoulder, left forearm and right thigh, the report states.
Lindsey, who was conscious when authorities arrived, was unable to give a statement to police at the scene, though he did tell a witness, Morris Mackey Jr., 67, that he "had been shot and knew who had shot him," according to the report.
Police and medical personnel responded and took Lindsey to UAMS Medical Center for treatment, where he is unconscious and in critical condition, according to the police report.
Little Rock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said no arrests have been made and no motive has been established at this time.
