The body of a fisherman who disappeared after his boat flipped on the Arkansas River was recovered Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Keith Stephens, a spokesman for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, said the body was found after 7:30 a.m. below the Terry Lock and Dam.
Stephens said he did not know the man's identity, but that the body was believed to be that of the missing fisherman.
A report from the Pulaski County sheriff's office identified that fisherman as Chase Herring.
Another fisherman with Herring, Caleb Walker, told investigators they were "simultaneously thrown from the boat" about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday and that he last saw Herring swimming toward the eastern shore of the river.
Walker made it to the western bank and was uninjured.
A search Tuesday involving the sheriff's office, the Little Rock Fire Department and Arkansas State Police didn't turn up any signs of Herring.
