A North Little Rock man who was taken into custody Tuesday for questioning in several robberies has admitted to committing eight of them in Pulaski County, authorities said.
Nicholas Dominique Swinney, 30, was arrested by North Little Rock police after authorities received a tip about a car that may have been involved in a string of recent robberies, the North Little Rock Police Department said in a news release.
Officers located and stopped a vehicle matching the description, then conducted a search, police said. As a result, police recovered a mask, weapon and clothing that was described as similar to those worn in the North Little Rock robberies.
Swinney, who was driving the car, was arrested at the scene and taken to the North Little Rock Police Department Detectives Division, where he confessed to three robberies in North Little Rock, as well five others in Little Rock.
He was charged with multiple counts of aggravated robbery, police said.
