A Cabot woman put a gun to a man's head Tuesday and pulled the trigger, though it didn't go off, authorities said.
Kathryn Robinson, 48, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.
The victim, described by police as Robinson's on-again off-again boyfriend, told Pulaski County sheriff's office investigators that Robinson "chased him out of the residence" and then "put the handgun up to his head and pulled the trigger and it did not go off," according to a report.
It happened about 10 a.m. at 2009 Backbone Road outside Cabot.
When deputies arrived, Robinson was spotted hiding behind a sport utility vehicle with a handgun, the report said. She complied with orders to drop the weapon and surrender.
Police recovered the weapon, which had an unfired round in the chamber, the report said.
"The round appeared to have an indention in the center of the primer," deputy Jeffrey King wrote in the report. "It appeared to have been a [misfire]."
Robinson remained in the Pulaski County jail Wednesday morning with bail not yet set.
