A disturbance call Wednesday night in Benton led to the arrest of two men spotted hiding among bushes, authorities said.
Benton police received a report shortly before 8 p.m. of suspicious people in the area around South Market and Jackman streets, the Benton Police Department said in a news release. While on their way, officers heard that two men were hiding in some bushes near a South Market Street house, police said.
Officers found the men, Christopher Tucker, 31, and Thomas Tucker, 33, and arrested them on accusations they'd broken into a Pearl Street home and physically attacked a resident.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injures, police said.
Both Tuckers were charged with third-degree battery and residential burglary, and Christopher Tucker was also charged with public intoxication, Benton police said.
The investigation is ongoing, authorities added.
