A 22-year-old Little Rock man was shot and robbed late Thursday night by a man who approached him while he was in his front yard, authorities said.
It happened about 11:20 p.m. at a residence in the 8300 block of Stanton Road.
The victim told police he was standing in the yard when a man he didn't know went up to him and hit him in the head with a gun.
After a scuffle, the attacker shot the victim in the right leg before taking his wallet and fleeing south on Stanton Road, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.
A witness said the robber later got into a white vehicle with four other men.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of a wound considered non-life-threatening, police said.
Crime scene officers responded to the scene of the shooting. According to the report, evidence taken included an "unknown white powder substance" found in the victim's car.
No arrests have been made.
