A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle Saturday night in Little Rock after the Razorbacks football game at War Memorial Stadium, authorities said.
The accident happened at about 10:20 p.m. at the 4900 block of West Markham, according to a Little Rock police accident report.
Little Rock resident Gregory Riley, 44, was traveling west on Markham in a gray 2008 F-150 Ford pickup when he purportedly struck Debbie Cockman, 46, of Little Rock, the report states.
Cockman was taken to UAMS Medical Center, officials said. She had a cut above her right eye and scrapes on both her hands and knees, according to the report.
A witness at the scene said traffic was stopped in both directions on Markham to allow a group to cross the street when a silver truck hit a woman, the report states. Police say there was a significant amount of blood on the street.
Officer Scott Dettmer charged Riley in DWI, careless driving and for refusal to submit to a chemical test.
