PINE BLUFF — A funeral is set to get underway for a 107-year-old Arkansas man who died in a police standoff last weekend.
Brown Funeral Home says Monroe Isadore's funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff.
Authorities say Isadore shot at police, who returned fire and killed him on Sept. 7.
Police have said they tried using a camera, negotiating tactics and gas before shooting Isadore, but the shooting has prompted questions from residents and some city leaders in the Arkansas community about 45 miles southeast of Little Rock.
The funeral home says Isadore's survivors include three sons, seven daughters, 27 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren.
