Beatles tribute band BritBeat and the Nuttin’ But Talent show will be among the highlights of the third annual Beatles at the Ridge music festival, Friday-Saturday in downtown Walnut Ridge.

Friday’s lineup includes musical performances starting at 6 p.m. on the First National Bank Beatles Park Stage on Abbey Road; the talent show (music and dance categories) gets underway at 2 p.m. Saturday on Cavenaugh Chevrolet’s Rock n’ Roll Highway Stage just off Main Street with cash prizes for the winners.

2 B-FLAT MINOR

Music Director Philip Mann will be on the podium and Martina Filjak will be at the keyboard as the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra opens its 2013-14 Stella Boyle Smith Masterworks Series with an all-Russian program, titled “Tchaikovsky & Rite of Spring,” 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m Sunday at Robinson Center Music Hall, West Markham Street and Broadway, Little Rock. Filjak will be the soloist in Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1; the program will also include the Festive Overture by Dmitri Shostakovich and The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky. Rhonda Vincent and the Rage will play bluegrass and maybe a little gospel in a concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at Arkansas State University’s Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro. The show opens the university’s 2013-14 season of the Riceland Distinguished Performance Series. Tickets are $30 and $20, $23 and $15 for senior citizens and students. 4 BIKES

The rumbling and partying in Fayetteville this weekend won’t be because of the Razorbacks. It’s time for the annual Bikes, Blues& BBQ festival with bike and car shows, music, parades, food, games and, new this year, an air show.

The celebration already started and will continue through Saturday in locations around Fayetteville.

5 BLOCK PARTY

The Hillcrest neighborhood closes part of Kavanaugh Boulevard to traffic during the annual Harvestfest on Saturday. It all starts with a bird walk in Allsopp Park at 7:30 a.m., followed by the Run 4 Shelter 5K at 8 and a pancake breakfast at 9. The street festival starts at 11 with children’s activities, a car show, music, a U.S.

Pizza tailgate party and a fashion show, all along Kavanaugh between Walnut and Monroe streets.

6 BLADE ET AL.

This weekend you won’t be able to turn around in downtown Hot Springs without bumping into a magician, a wizard or an illusionist. Magicians Jay Scott Berry and Hot Springs’ own Maxwell Blade are producing the first Weekend of Wonder magic festival, showcasing close-up, stage and street magic and one-man shows Friday-Sunday at a dozen venues around the Spa City. The lineup includes Little Rock’s Derrick Rose. The All Star Gala, 8 p.m. Friday at the Maxwell Blade Theatre, 121 Central Ave., will feature Blade, Berry, Las Vegas Master Wizard Jeff McBride and Close-up Champion Michael Ammar;

tickets are $20. Tickets for the Masters of Magic Gala, 8 p.m. Saturday at the Central Theater, 1008 Central Ave., are $15 and $25. Otherwise, most events are free; tickets for some events are $10.

The Hot Springs-based Muses Creative Artistry Project will close out its Opera Week with its sixth annual Opera Gala, a performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro (sung in Italian with visible English supertitles), 7 p.m. Saturday, also the grand opening of the new Muses Cultural Arts Center, 428 Orange St., Hot Springs. Gala donor tickets - did we mention it’s a fundraiser? - are $100 (including a champagne-and-wedding-cake reception); patron tickets are $200. 8 BENEFIT

Art, music, food and the out-front fountain will all be components of the inaugural Fountain Fest, 5:30-8 p.m. today in and around the Carrie Remmel Dickinson Fountain at the Arkansas Arts Center, 10th and Commerce streets, Little Rock. The event will feature music by the Funkanites, food from Whole Hog Cafe, desserts from Cupcakes on Kavanaugh and drinks provided by Moon Distributors, Goose Island Brewing and Stone’s Throw Brewing, plus a chance to interact with the Yarn Bomb installation, which debuted Tuesday. Tickets are $25, $10 for Contemporaries members. Proceeds benefit the Arts Center and the Contemporaries, an auxiliary group of young art enthusiasts; the goal is for the auxiliary to donate a piece of art to the Arts Center’s December Collectors Show. 9 BRIDGE REGATTA

Sailboats and rowboats will take to the Arkansas River for the Junction Bridge Regatta, 3:30-7 p.m. Saturday. Spectators can watch the races at the watch party on the North Little Rock side of the Junction Bridge. The family-friendly event will include music by Mojo Depot. Admission is free.

10 BROADWAY WALK

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation hosts a morning of exercise, family activities and fundraising at the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes, Saturday at Dickey-Stephens Park, North Little Rock.
