Shotgun used in 2 aggravated robberies Sunday in Little Rock

Two aggravated robberies that occurred Sunday on the same road in Little Rock involved similar suspects and a similar weapon, according to two police reports.

The first robbery occurred about 1:27 a.m. at Fairfield Apartments, 1912 Green Mountain Drive, one police report states. Two residents of the complex told police they were walking to their apartment when a man pointed a sawed-off shotgun at one of the residents midway up the stairs. He and another man then robbed the two victims of their cash and personal items, which was estimated to be worth about $1,100, the report states. The victims said the robbers fled on foot.

The robbers were described as two black men, ages 27-35, standing about 5-foot-9. One was described as being bald with a dark complexion, medium build and weighing about 190 pounds. The other robber was described having a medium complexion with braided hair, medium build and weighing about 170 pounds. The second robber wore a red, flat-billed hat and a white or gray shirt, according to the report.

Another robbery occurred at 11:40 p.m. at The Waterford Apartments, 701 Green Mountain Drive, a second report states.

A female resident told police she was exiting her vehicle when she heard footsteps behind her. When she turned around, the report states, one of two men pointed a shotgun at her head and ordered her to give them her purse and walk away. The men then fled on foot toward Green Mountain Drive, the woman told police. The total amount of items and cash reported stolen was estimated to be about $750.

Those robbers were described as dark-complected black men standing about 5-foot-9. One robber had short hair, a thin mustache and wore dark pants and a dark shirt, according to the report. The other robber wore dark pants and a black hoodie at the time of the robbery.

Little Rock Police spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said it wasn't immediately clear if the two robberies are related.
