HELENA-WEST HELENA — Arkansas highway officials say construction on U.S. 49 will require a lane closure on the Helena Bridge over the Mississippi River.
The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says the construction will reduce traffic to one lane.
The lane closures started Monday and will continue on weekdays until Oct. 11. They'll take place between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Traffic will be controlled using warning signs, barrels and flaggers.
