Drive-by shooting injures 2 in downtown Little Rock

Two men are sought after a drive-by shooting in downtown Little Rock on Monday afternoon left two men wounded.

The victims were at the 1200 block of East Ninth Street about 2:30 p.m. when two unknown black men rode by in a tan mid-1990s, four-door Ford Crown Victoria with an Arkansas license plate and fired gunshots into the air, a Little Rock Police Department report states. The assailants' vehicle turned back around, they opened fire, and the victims fled the scene, police said.

One victim suffered a gunshot wound in his left forearm, and the other was hit in the right hand, the report states. One victim was released under his own power, while the second was treated for his injuries at UAMS Medical Center, police said.

Authorities recovered a shell casing at the scene, the report added.
