This week’s MovieStyle features Dan Lybarger’s review of Ron Howard’s much anticipated Rush, a based-on-a-true story about the rivalry between Formula One racers Niki Lauda and James Hunt. It sort of harkens back to Howard’s directing debut, 1977’s Grand Theft Auto, only with a much higher budget.
Continuing the car theme, our Philip Martin reviews Blue Caprice, a harrowing indie drama based on the “Beltway sniper” case that explores the relationship between a young man and his surrogate father. Also backing into theaters everywhere this week is the animated sequel Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, and the romantic comedy Baggage Claim.
