Work on roads in the Little Rock metropolitan area will require lane closures over the coming week, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department has said.
The restriping of Interstate 630 westbound lanes between John Barrow and Shackleford roads will reduce traffic to one lane in the area between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, weather permitting, highway officials said Friday in a statement.
On U.S. 67/167 in Jacksonville, bridge repairs will require a lane closure Monday, the Highway Department said separately. Crews repairing a Main Street Bridge railing damaged in a traffic accident will shut the northbound, inside lane from just south of Redmond Road to just north of the bridge, highway officials said. That work is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, weather permitting.
In addition, bridge deck repairs will continue on Cantrell Road in Little Rock.
The westbound, inside lane on the Lincoln Viaduct railroad bridge just west of Dillard's corporate headquarters will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, the department said. Highway officials plan to offer advisories each Friday until the Cantrell Road work is complete.
