Nuptial vows were exchanged by Jamie O’Neill Lapington and Jonathan Isaac Soos at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, on the back lawn of the Clinton Presidential Center. Kathy Lewison officiated.
The bride is the daughter of James Lee and the late Julie Ann Lapington of Little Rock. Her grandparents are Irby Lee and the late Helen Lucille Lapington of Henderson, Ky., and the late Mary Jane and Joseph Edward O’Neill of Illiopolis, Ill.
The groom is the son of Jo and David Allen Soos of Mountainburg. He is the grandson of the late Phyllis and Frank Wilson Soos of Cleveland and the late Betty and William R. Wilbourn of North Little Rock.
The altar held a large arrangement of pink gladiolas, coral and pink roses and white hydrangeas on an iron floral stand. Music was by harpist Alisa Coffey.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless A-line gown embellished with Alencon lace, sequins and beading. A satin ribbon pinned with a brooch encircled her waist. She carried a brooch bouquet made by the groom’s mother with pins collected from family and friends.
Serving as bridesmaids were Erin Arnold of New York, Christie Halijan of Sherwood, Maggie Hawthorne of Philadelphia and Jerelynn Mullens of Benton. They wore long navy chiffon dresses in the style of their choice and carried bouquets of white hydrangeas, pink roses, coral garden rose, orange berries and dusty miller.
Flower girls were Sara Cathey of North Little Rock, cousin of the bridegroom; Ellie Lapington of Richmond, Va., niece of the bride; Emerson Martin of Little Rock; and Shelby and Emma Mayhue and Clara, Lily and Phoebee Sigler all of Mount Carmel, Ill., and cousins of the bride. Ring bearers were Justin Lapington of Richmond, nephew of the bride; and Wyatt, Grady and Fisher Brown of McLeansboro, Ill., cousins of the bride.
Serving as groomsmen were Christopher Corbusier of Maumelle; Dillon Egan of Wichita Falls, Texas; Stewart Gilmore of North Little Rock; and David Stagg of New Orleans. Guests were seated by Jeremy Lapington of Oklahoma City and Justin Lapington of Richmond, brothers of the bride.
A reception in the Great Hall followed the ceremony. Tables were decorated with arrangements of white hydrangeas, pink gladiolas, roses, berries and dusty miller.
The bride attended Christian Brothers University in Memphis, where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta. She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration. She is a senior financial analyst at FIS.
The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree from the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville and is general manager of Soos Stained Glass.
After a wedding trip to Thailand, the couple will reside in Little Rock.
