A Little Rock man was beaten early Sunday after leaving a nightclub, but his would-be robbers didn't make off with any property, police said.
Officers responded Sunday morning to the Oasis Night Club, 7121 Geyer Springs Road, after an assault was reported, a Little Rock Police Department report states.
The victim, a Hispanic man who doesn't speak English and had an interpreter, said that while walking to his car after leaving the nightclub about 3:30 a.m., two men approached him and said, "Give us your shoes and cell phone," according to the report.
The victim said the first attacker hit him in the head with a bat, he fell down, and the two men kicked him on the face and dragged him on the ground, the report states. He later got three staples in the top of his head at the emergency room, police said.
The attackers didn't get any property, and they left the scene in an unknown direction in a blue two-door Chevrolet Caprice, police said.
The would-be robbers were two black men, one about 6 foot 2 and 220 pounds and the other not further described, according to the report.
