$250 stolen, man beaten in LR robbery

Authorities are investigating a Saturday night robbery in Little Rock that left a man with a dislocated shoulder and a rib injury.

Police found Little Rock resident Ronald Dedmon, 57, at 10:04 p.m. at a Taco Bell at 9600 N. Rodney Parham Road, according to a Little Rock police report.

Dedmon told police that two unidentified men punched him in the head and kicked him in the ribs before stealing $250 from him. The two robbers, both described as black, left in a white sedan in an unknown direction, police said.

Dedmon couldn't give officers an exact site of the attack, but officers think it may have happened at 9:45 p.m. between the 9400 and 9500 block of North Rodney Parham Road near the fuel pumps at Kroger. Dedmon displayed "indicators of heavy intoxication," police said in the report.

The Metropolitan Emergency Services responded, and Dedmon was taken to St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center to be treated for his injuries, the report states.
