April is the cruelest month, as T.S. Eliot reminds us in his poem, The Waste Land. “I will show you fear in a handful of dust,” he threatens - but nothing compares to the fear in a handful of tax filings. The Titanic went down on April 15, 1912, another sinking sensation. The rest of the month docks with a cargo of books, baskets, bunnies, pigs and potatoes.
