Benton police make arrest in string of commercial burglaries

Benton police made an arrest Tuesday in a string of three commercial burglaries that occurred last month.

Dillan Billingsley, 25, of Saline County is accused of breaking into Arkansas Onsite Services, located at 18100 Interstate 30, on March 6 and March 8 and damaging and stealing several items, including a tractor and a backhoe, Benton Police Department Lt. Kevin Russell said in a statement Wednesday.

Billingsley is also accused of breaking into Ditch Witch, located at 19930 I-30, where an all-terrain vehicle was stolen and damage was done to the business, Russell said.

Billingsley is charged with three counts each of commercial burglary, theft of property and criminal mischief. He's also charged with two counts of unauthorized use of another person's property to facilitate a crime, according to Russell. More charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
