SEARCY — The Searcy Police Department was called around 9 p.m. to the America's Best Value Inn in Searcy where hotel workers reported an armed robbery.
The hotel is located at 107 Rand Drive in Searcy.
Searcy Police Officers were told that a black male wearing white bandana over his face and a purple or blue hoodie with light symbols all over it entered into the hotel's lobby before entering the area behind the clerk's desk while holding a knife.
The suspect demanded money from the clerk, and once she opened the cash drawer, the robber forced the clerk into a bathroom where he told her to stay until he left the hotel.
The suspect is described as being between 5'7" and 5'9" tall, 160 to 180 pounds and could be in his early to mid-20s.
