A 42-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon when his vehicle "lost control in a curve and his car went airborne," according to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash report.

He was driving on U.S. 67 at Ridge Road around 3:30 p.m. in Malvern at the time of the crash.

Casey Lynn Rogers was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry that struck a large double billboard and tree before coming to rest, the report states.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Conditions were described as clear and dry at the time of the accident.

This was the state's 79th fatality in a traffic crash in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
