'Promise' to burn down house lands woman in jail, police say

A North Little Rock woman is accused of threatening to burn down another person's home after a disturbance Thursday afternoon.

Crystal Nicole Layton, 24, remained in the Pulaski County jail Friday morning with bail set at $5,000. She faces a charge of making a terrorist threat.

According to an arrest report, officers responded about 4:50 p.m. to a large group disturbance at 615 Mills St.

Police separated the two groups, but Layton stayed in the area and "threatened to burn down her adversary's house," the report said.

An officer then told Layton to cease making threats.

"Layton responded 'it ain't a threat, it's a promise,'" police wrote in the report.

She was then arrested. A Tuesday court date is scheduled.
