SAN ANTONIO Police said maintenance workers have found what appears to be human remains near SeaWorld San Antonio.
KENS-TV in San Antonio reported the remains were found by SeaWorld maintenance workers in a wooded area south of the park on Friday.
Investigators said the remains have been there so long, it's unclear who they belong to or what happened.
Sgt. Javier Salazar with the San Antonio Police Department said the remains could have been there for several months or even up to a year.
The remains were picked up by the medical examiner's office for further review. Police said they will continue to investigate.
