Shooting leaves man injured; two suspects flee

Little Rock police are looking for two men after an attempted robbery that left an 18-year-old injured.

Officials responded to a shooting at 5:14 p.m. Saturday at West 14th and Elm streets.

Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said when officers arrived at the scene, Tevin Mills told officers he had been traveling east on 14th Street when two black men approached him and tried to steal his wallet and cellphone, but Mills refused to give them the items.

Mills told police that he knew one of the men as “Lil Marquise” and the other as “CD.” The two were driving a moped when they approached Mills, Allen said.

Lil Marquise began shooting at Mills, hitting him in the left leg. His injuries were not considered life-threatening, Allen said.

Mills told police the two left the scene in an unknown direction.
