A license to ‘forget’?

I discovered years ago that many lawyers do not pay their license fee. I suppose it’s because they can get away with it.

It’s surely one of the reasons that the public has such a low opinion of that profession.

Why are they allowed to continue? Is it because that’s decided by others in that profession?

To reach the bottom

We will get to the bottom of this.

The Benghazi scandal. We will get to the bottom of this.

Fast and Furious. We will get to the bottom of this.

The IRS scandal. We will get to the bottom of this.

The Fort Hood shooting. We will get to the bottom of this.

All the government leaks. We will get to the bottom of this.

Apparently the bottom is so far down, how long will it all take? Oh well, what difference could it possibly make?

Will cost us all in end

There are people going around asking us to sign a petition to put an increase in the minimum wage on the ballot.

I believe the United States of America has already priced itself out of the world wage market. That is why most of the merchandise you buy is made in a foreign country.

If wages in the U.S. are increased, I believe we will lose more jobs.

If the American people would work harder for the company they are employed by and produce more, the companies could afford to give them raises. The ones that drag their feet would be fired and someone who is willing to work harder would take their place.

I think increasing the wage would only end up costing us more, for the companies would end up passing the cost of operation to the consumer, and we would be worse off than we are now.

Again, not a socialist

Well-informed Americans have had it up to here with socialist-obsessed people. These unenlightened people consider almost everything our president initiates as being socialist. For the majority of Americans, I believe it is obvious that our President Barack Obama is not a socialist. Our president has shown that he is full of compassion and empathy for all of his fellow citizens, which the social-phobic people seem to mistake as being only a socialist trait.

Have they forgotten our past “compassionate conservative” President George W. Bush?

These “faux news” followers have also shown to have an unrealistic fear of the spread of socialism in the U.S. I strongly encourage these people to give up their Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, sports, agricultural and oil-industry subsidies because they contain aspects of socialism.

I do not like to say put up or shut up, but …

Helping bottom lines

I find it quite amusing that Tom Cotton is demanding a series of debates with Sen. Mark Pryor, on his terms only.

In politics, when you are worried about your standing in a race, the person that’s behind in the polls is always the one who comes out and makes demands like this. Make no mistake, it’s a sign of weakness.

Recent polls show Pryor beginning to open up a lead over Cotton. This has got to be of much concern to Cotton and especially his owners, Koch Industries and the Club for Greed.

You know, it just wasn’t supposed to be this way.

The Koch brothers and other oligarchs of our age have poured millions into the empty vessel Cotton in order to buy a Senate seat in hopes of advancing an agenda that is helpful to their bottom lines. They should be far ahead by now, right?

In my view, these people don’t care one bit about our country-only money, and Cotton is their handmaiden.

I suspect that while panic may not be setting in just yet with Cotton’s owners, concern is growing. Look, we know absolutely nothing about Cotton other than he seems to repeat the president’s name in every single sentence he utters. Light bulbs are starting to flicker on that show this isn’t going to be enough to beat Mark Pryor.

What will his handlers decide to program next into their robot Cotton to repeat like a mummy? Stay tuned.

See glimmer of hope

There is hope (and maybe some change)! Linda A. Farrell laments that the Koch brothers want the freedom to buy our government with their offensive ad campaigns. Apparently she hasn’t heard of George Soros, labor unions or any of the other multimillion-dollar Democratic Party campaign donors and PACs.

Should the Koch brothers prevail in their dastardly scheme, surely we will be forced to breathe filthy air and drink dirty water (except for the EPA), work longer hours (except for the Department of Labor) in unsafe workplaces (except for OSHA) while minorities and poor enjoy second-class citizenship (except for the EEOC). Thank God we have the government to protect us.

For all of her doom and gloom, I’m certainly more optimistic. I feel that any country that can endure the most transparent, honest, uniting and non-divisive administration which has provided such dynamic leadership and has provided unparalleled economic growth … will surely last forever.

Something seems off

Let me see if I get this right: The Democrats apparently had no problem causing millions to lose their health insurance and struggle to get new insurance, but find it wrong that voters should be required to show ID to vote? Is that right?

Did you know that in the rural area in which I live it is 50 miles to the nearest Obamacare navigator? How can poor people afford that? And don’t they also have to provide identification?
