Bank of America in downtown LR robbed

Police on scene say the Bank of America in downtown Little Rock was robbed Friday morning.

Detectives were on the scene at the branch, which sits on the ground floor of the Bank of America tower at 200 W. Capitol Ave., questioning employees and looking for evidence after the 9:30 a.m. robbery.

Little Rock Police Department Lt. Sidney Allen said the robber handed a note demanding money, which the teller provided. He left on foot in an unknown direction.

Preliminary scanner traffic indicated the robber was "possibly armed."

This is a video capture of the purported suspect who robbed the Bank of America located at 200 W. Capitol Ave., according to Little Rock police. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 and 175 to 190 pounds. The suspect exited the west side of the bank (Center Street side) and left the area in an unknown direction, police said.
