Single-engine Cessna crashes Friday near Searcy Municipal Airport

Authorities say no one was killed in a plane crash that occurred Friday afternoon in White County.

Phillip Miller, chief deputy for the White County sheriff's office, said in an emailed statement that 911 received a call around 2:50 p.m. about the crash, which occurred about two miles south of the Searcy Municipal Airport.

Deputies responded to the area, where they located a single-engine Cessna that had overturned in a field.

Minor injuries were reported, but it's unclear who of the two occupants was injured. Calls to the White County sheriff's office weren't immediately returned.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating what caused the crash, Miller said.
