Motorcycle driver, passenger die after crash

A Little Rock man and North Little Rock woman have died from injuries they suffered after a motorcycle and car collided Thursday night.

About 11:45 p.m. Thursday, Brenda Young told police, she was driving west on Asher Avenue before approaching the intersection with Mabelvale Pike, according to an accident report.

After the light turned green, Young attempted to turn south onto Mabelvale Pike, and a 2012 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Brian Croon, 45, hit Young’s 1997 Cadillac Deville, the report states. Lashanda Mullen, 39, was a passenger on the motorcycle, according to the report.

Little Rock police said Monday that Croon of Little Rock and Mullen of North Little Rock both died from their injuries Friday after they were taken from the scene to UAMS Medical Center.

Young and the three passengers in her car were not injured.

Police said Young's blood was drawn for toxicology tests, and the investigation is ongoing.

Conditions were described as clear and dry at the time of the accident.
